Swiss 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1907, in very good condition with 80% finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number. On the right side of the stock, there are light to mild pressure marks around the butt of the stock. Mild gouges on the grip. On the finger groove there is a light gouge on the bottom left edge and a mild pressure mark on the upper edge. There are various light pressure marks along the forearm and a light gouge at the woodline between the stock and handguard before the rear barrel band. On the left side of the stock there are some light pressure marks and several light gouges around the butt. Light pressure marks along the pistol grip and grip. Heavy scratching in the finish inside the finger groove. There are a few light gouges on the forearm between the finger groove and rear barrel band. Long scratch/gouge in front of the rear barrel band. On the underside of the stock, there are a couple of gouges next to the magazine plate in front of the magazine catch and a moderate pressure mark at the forward end of the magazine plate. Small chip at the receiver tang. Light pressure marks throughout the handguard. Fair to moderate finish wear, mild patina, and very light pitting throughout the receiver. Both barrel bands may have been refurbished; both barrel bands have light edge wear and light tool marks. The exposed barrel is in the white. Mild to fair finish wear and light pitting on the magazine plate and the trigger guard. Light finish wear on the magazine. Receiver is P 63 stamped, indicating privatization in 1963. Includes muzzle cover and leather sling. C&R Eligible. Import engraved. |
