Description: |
Swiss K11 Carbine, produced in 1918, in good condition with 60% finish. 4/5 Bore (bright bore, lightly worn rifling). 4/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number. Furniture has been previously sanded and refinished as both the stock and handguard lack the Swiss military stamp and a non-original clear coat has been applied to the wood, but there are still very many mild pressure marks found throughout the furniture. On the right side of the stock there are multiple light pressure marks and several scratches rear of the grip. There are a pair of small, light pressure marks below the bolt release lever and a pair of pressure marks below and to the left of the finger groove. There is a small area of light gouging below the right side of the finger groove. On the left side of the stock there are several light to mild pressure marks along the grip. In front of the grip there are multiple mild pressure marks. There is a gouge on the base of the handguard. There are some scrapes on the left side of the handguard that extend onto the front barrel band. The top and left sides of the receiver has very heavy finish wear, with parts of it nearly in the white. Both barrel bands have light pitting and mild patina. Front sight has worn finish and mild to fair patina. Magazine plate, trigger guard, and magazine have heavy finish wear and are nearly in the white. Receiver is P 61 stamped, indicating privatization in 1961. Soldier's tag found under butt plate. Includes muzzle cover and leather sling. C&R Eligible. Discreet import engraving. See our How To Order page for ordering instructions. The Karabiner Model 1911 (K11) is the shorter, lighter, carbine model of the Swiss 1911 rifle. It is a magazine fed, straight pull, bolt action rifle chambered in 7.5x55mm Swiss Gewehrpatrone 1911 (GP11). Though the 1911 rifle ceased production in 1919, the K11 was produced through 1933 as the Swiss military realized the benefit of outfitting their service members with shorter, lighter, carbines. |
