| This is the carbine Model 31 variant that features telescopic sights. #Serial Number: 4512XX These were the: - Karabiner 31/42, 1.8X9 telescopic sight adjustable from 100–1000 m in 100 m - Karabiner 31/43, 2.8X14 telescopic sight adjustable from 100–700 m in 100 m The telescopic sights of were made by Kern and mounted on production K31s chosen for their accuracy. In the 50s a modified variant of the K31 was developed for designated sniper use. This rifle was not issued as a K31 variant, but as the W+F ZFK55 Sniper Rifle. It featured a more powerful 3.5X23 telescopic sight made by Kern, adjustable for bullet drop from 100–800m in 100m increments. |
