Seine 1,0-fache Vergrößerung in Verbindung mit einem Sehfeld von 43,8 m auf 100 m entsprechen in etwa der normalen Wahrnehmung des menschlichen Auges. Das macht es zum günstigen Allrounder auf kurze Distanzen wie sie zum Beispiel bei der Jagd im Wald, bei Wanderungen oder im Rettungseinsatz zu finden sind. Die Detektionsreichweite (nach Johnson) von 250 m sind auf Kirrungsdistanz ausreichend um ein Stück Rehwild von Schwarzwild unterscheiden zu können. Dank des geringen Gewichts von gerade einmal 250 g und den geringen Abmessungen von 15,8 x 6 x 5,7 cm passt es praktisch in jede Jackentasche. Die Aufnahmen von Bildern oder Videos (mit Ton) werden auf dem internen 8 GB Speicher abgelegt und können mit der Hikmicro Sight App aufs Smartphone oder Tablett übertragen werden. Der integrierte Lithium-Ionen Akku mit 3.350 mAh liefert für bis zu 10 Stunden Energie.
