| SIG Mannlicher 1893, also known as the 1893 Cavalry Carbine, is in very good condition with 80% bluing. 3/5 Bore. 5/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bore is dull with a light shine, worn rifling, and light to mild pitting. Furniture is very clean with only light handling wear present. There are a few light pressure marks seen in the stock, and the wood finish has a good shine. Long wood grain pattern visible in the handguard. Receiver has fairly dark bluing, with worn bluing at the rear with brown patina. There is also a gouge on the rear of the receiver. Rear barrel band has finish wear on the right side. End cap and front sight has moderate finish wear on the right side. Trigger plate has fairly dark bluing. Trigger guard has light bluing remaining with patina. Magazine has fairly dark bluing on the side which thins, and edge wear on the bottom. Receiver is P 21 stamped. Includes leather sling. One of the bolt's locking lugs is worn and rounded. Receiver is stamped with manufacturer mark "S.J.G. NEUHAUSEN" (SIG Neuhausen). Antique; no import engraving. This scarce example of a Swiss Mannlicher 1893 is one of only 4,250 total produced at SIG Neuhausen between 1895-1896. 1893 models produced afterward were produced by W+F BERN. |
