| Aus meiner Afrika-Sammlung : KASKARA - Schwert; Gl. ca. 99,5 cm; Kl. ca. 87 cm; Kb. ca. 40 mm; Parierstange rautenf?rmig geschmiedet, Breite ca. 16 cm; mit Lederstreifen umwickelter Holzgriff, ca. 11,5 cm; Gewicht ca. 950 g; Klinge beidseits mit gut ausgepr?gten Halbmond-Schmiedemarken; Herstellungszeitpunkt wohl noch vor der Mahdi-Periode (1881 - 1885). Bild 6 zeigt einen der "Vorbesitzer" (Emir Naaman vom Stamme der Baggara). Sicherlich eines der Beutest?cke vom Kerreri-Kampf-Feld, wie sie nach der Schlacht an die nach Kairo zur?ckkehrenden engl, Soldaten versteigert wurden.
