For sale is a block rifle based on the Ruger No 1 in .30-06 Springfield. The weapon was originally a No 1-V (Varmint), but was completely reworked and trimmed to classic Rigby style. The beautifully grained lacquered stock was removed and slightly slimmed down (forend) and transformed into an oil stock with a full-length, fine fish skin. The barrel was fitted with a ring grain saddle and swivel mounting parts, and the entire weapon was matte-blasted and blued. The weapon comes with the appropriate bridge swivel mounting for scopes with Zeiss internal rail, allowing any modern Zeiss, Leica, Schmidt & Bender etc. scope with corresponding rail to be mounted immediately and easily. The rare Kepplinger trigger is installed, which breaks cleanly and also has a safety function. However, in my opinion, this is unnecessary, as the trigger is in no way inferior to a Blaser fine trigger! The shooting performance is top-notch, even with heavy bullets, I mainly used 220gr/14.3g soft point. The barrel is 60cm long, the stock length is 36cm, and the total length is 103cm. A solid, classic weapon without plastic and frills. One thoughtful shot is enough for all hunting situations (except perhaps the driven hunt).
