Es wird mit nur einer CR123-Batterie betrieben und bietet durch seine neue Batteriekonfiguration mehr Platz auf der Picatinny-Schiene als je zuvor. Die Batterielaufzeit beträgt etwa 600 Stunden. Das Absehen ist parallaxefrei, was eine präzise Zielerfassung in jeder Situation ermöglicht. Die integrierte, wiederholgenaue Quick-Release-Montage (2 M.O.A) für Picatinny- und Weaverschienen sorgt für eine um 7 mm erhöhte Montageposition. Im Vergleich zum Modell XPS3-0 wurden die Bedienelemente seitlich versetzt. Dadurch lässt sich das EXPS3 optimal mit den EOTECH-Magnifiern G30, G33, G43 oder G45 kombinieren. Die für die Montage benötigte Schienenlänge beträgt nur 67 mm.
