Guus de Vries & Bas J. Martens

In this book series, the handheld weapons of the German Wehrmacht are presented. Each volume is dedicated to a specific weapon or family of weapons. In the first part of the book, in addition to the development history and technical data, the respective model and production variants, markings, and the most important accessories are presented using excellent detailed photos.

In the second part of the book, there is then a selection of mostly previously unpublished contemporary photos. These images, mostly taken by professional photographers from the propaganda companies, stand out due to their quality. They show the weapons in training and in use on all fronts.

The volume on the Wehrmacht's anti-tank hand weapons will surely appeal to many collectors, as there is currently no comparable German-language title. In addition to the 100 large-format operational photos of the weapons, the technical section of the documentation provides an overview of weapon development - starting with the Mauser tank rifle of World War I, the MG 18; the Panzerbüchsen 38 and 39; the Panzerbüchse Mod. SS 41; the Granatbüchse 39 and the Granatgewehr; the Panzerfäuste 60, 100 and 150; the Panzerschreck and the Raketen-Panzerbüchse 54; training devices for Panzerfaust and Panzerschreck up to experimental weapons like the Luftfaust.
