  PUMA Robuster, Walnut Wood

With the design of this knife, a synthesis of traditional Asian and European forms was achieved, along with the technical results of personal experience. In the Robuster, history, elegance, and practicality were combined. Everything that disturbs performance, long dullness, crossguard, or an unwieldy handle, was avoided to create a work knife with particularly high utility value. The elegant appearance is based on the coordinated line designs and the proportional features of the handle and the knife blade. The stylistic foundation of the handle was taken from a proven European saber handle of the early 19th century and promises a secure grip even in difficult applications. Unlike usual knife handles, the rear circumference of this handle is significantly smaller, allowing the shorter ring and little fingers to completely encompass the handle. The curved shape of the handle piece and the resulting hook effect are very relieving during a pulling cut and a knife thrust. During a strong knife thrust, the thumb and index finger experience the same relief, as the curve of the handle piece finds firm reception in the hand's base. The form-induced thumb rest at the end of the handle back ergonomically supports the "reverse grip". The lower crossguard offers the hand sufficient security, the classical, double crossguard protection was omitted, allowing the thumb enough space to reach the thumb rest unhindered. The sum of these features and the charm of a historical era form the special feature of this knife handle. The knife blade shows a widening at the front. This distinctive characteristic is referred to as a Bolo tip. The total length is 320 mm. The blade is 195 mm long and 5 mm thick. The Robuster was made from the proven Böhler steel N690 - 1.4528, a very durable steel that is easy to sharpen. The handle shells are made of walnut wood, with a total knife weight of 335 g. The Robuster is equipped with a variably wearable, leather sheath. Manifested by a continuous serial number, we commit to "Made in Solingen" and the high standards of our customers.

Alternatively, the Robuster is also available with a white Micarta handle (Art. No.: 141000).
