Das ergonomische Design, die Eleganz und die Dynamik fallen sofort ins Auge. Mittels des höhenverstellbaren Schaftrückens kann die Schaftbacke den persönlichen Bedürfnissen beim Anlegen und Visieren angepasst werden. Die Schaftlänge beträgt bei allen Polymerschäften standardmäßig 36,5 mm. Polymer ist ein leichtes und äußerst widerstandsfähiges Material, so kann man die Sauer 505 Synchro XT Black regelmäßig bei widrigen Witterungsbedingungen einsetzen. Der Schaft ist neu und unbenutzt und wird verkauft, da ich meine Sauer 505 zwar mit diesem Schaft bestellt habe, dann allerdings sofort einen anderen Schaft angebracht habe.
