| Hier kommt eine sehr seltene Sammlerwaffe: Die "Monkey Tails" ("Affenschwanz") waren die ersten Milit?rgewehre mit dem von Whitworth 1858 patentierten Polygonlauf. Diese Waffe stammt aus der Portugal-Lieferung von 1.500 St?ck im Jahre 1867. Davon sind lt.Internet nur 47 ?berlebende bekannt (Quelle: www.roaring-forties.co.uk/home/monkey-tail-history, Seite 5). Entsprechend selten erscheinen sie auf dem Markt. Es ist ein fr?her Perkussions-Hinterlader mit Papierpatronen. Die Abdichtung nach hinten geschieht mit einem Filz am Boden der Patrone. Diese Waffen waren zu ihrer Zeit f?r ihre Pr?zision bekannt, deshalb erwarb ich sie auch, und lie? sie vorsichtshalber beschie?en. Aber leider zeigte sich, da? dieses Gewehr, wohl wegen seiner Konstruktion, die ein Putzen von hinten zumindest sehr erschwert, w?hrend ihres langen Lebens wohl intensiv von der M?ndung her gereinigt wurde, die deshalb Vorweite bekommen hat -und so streut es ... Das Gewehr wird deshalb ausdr?cklich als nummerngleiche Sammlerwaffe angeboten. Der Schaft ist schu?stabil mit altem, inaktivem Wurmbefall, der versorgt ist. Der Lauf ist oktogonal gezogen. Der Entladestock ist nicht original. Der untere Riemenb?gel fehlt. Eine Replik der Kokille f?r das Original-Gescho? kommt mit. Als einl?ufige Perkussionswaffe ist sie ab 18 Jahren frei erwerbbar. Altersnachweis ist erforderlich. Die Versandkosten gelten f?r Sperrgut mit Versicherung bis ? 5.000 nach EU. Kein Rost! No rust! Mehr Bilder auf Wunsch - more pics upon request. |
