The Walther G43 was manufactured in 1944 in BCD Factory which opened in January 1944 and was destroyed in August 1944 by a British bombardment. The factory was using the workforce of the macabrely known Buchenwald concentration camp. The casings used by the Gustloff factory for the G43s were machined by the St-Etienne Weapons Factory. The Gustloff G43 weapons are the only ones to have a scope rail without locked cutout which restrains scope set up. |
