| Stahlhelm-Prototyp, Gaede-Helm 1915 Früher deutscher Prototyp aus dem Ersten Weltkrieg. Bestehend aus einer Stahlkuppel mit grün lackierter Oberfläche und eine markante Nasenkappe zum Schutz des Gesichtes. Bei späteren Modellen befinden sich auf beiden Seiten rechteckige Schlitze oberhalb der Ohren (die zur Befestigung des Kinnriemens dienten ), welche bei diesem Exemplar noch nicht vorhanden sind. Die grün lackierte Platte wiegt ca. 2kg. Innenausstattung ("skull cap" aus Leder und Stoff) fehlt. Anm.: Der Helm wurde 1915 bei der "Armeeabteilung Gaede" eingeführt, welche in den Vogesen stationiert war. Aufgrund des felsigen Geländes traten dort besonders viele Kopfverletzungen auf. Da von Seiten des Kriegsministeriums kein Helm geliefert wurde, entwickelte die Abteilung einen eigenen Schutzhelm. Die Initiative ging vom Chef des Generalstabs, Oberstleutnant Hesse, aus. Gefertigt wurde der Helm in der "Artilleriewerkstatt Mühlhausen", wobei rund 1'500 Exemplare entstanden. Die Herstellung war zunächst nicht genehmigt; Hesse wurde sogar aufgefordert, die Produktionskosten persönlich zu tragen, was durch Verhandlungen verhindert werden konnte. Mit der offiziellen Einführung des M1916-Stahlhelms wurden die Gaede-Helme eingezogen und größtenteils eingeschmolzen. Sehr selten! Zustand 2 |
