Das 98er System ist wahrscheinlich eines der, wenn nicht sogar das populärste und am meisten imitierte Waffensystem des ausgehenden 19ten und des beginnenden 20ten Jahrhunderts. 1898 als Standartbewaffnung der kaiserlich-deutschen Armee eingeführt, leistete das Gewehr 98 wertvollte Dienste und bildete das Rückrad der deutschen Bewaffnung. Während des Krieges zeigten sich auch die Eigenschaften, die das Gewehr so populär machten: Robustheit, Zuverlässigkeit und Präzision. Diese Vorzüge machten das 98er-System zum konkurrenzlosen Favoriten, als es um die Wiederbewaffnung Deutschlands ging. Ohne zu zögern wurde die Karabinerversion des 98er-Systems als Standartbewaffnung eingeführt. Und wieder bildete das 98er-System das Rückrad der deutschen Bewaffnung. Die Waffe ist in einem gutem Zustand allerdings verfügt sie über keinen gültigen Beschuss. Desshalb die Abgabe nur an Händler und Sammler.
