Nachträgliches - ob zum Fluchtversuch beabsichtigt oder versehentliches - Verschieben in beide Richtungen ist dadurch effektiv unterbunden. Auch Verletzungen können auf diesem Weg vermieden werden. Passend sind die Handschellen von Alcyon für verhältnismäßig schmale und kräftige Handgelenke. Dafür sorgt der Innendurchmesser, der sich von 165 bis 200 Millimeter variabel einstellen lässt.
