Nach seinem ersten Erfolg 1973 mit der Veröffentlichung der Jugenderinnerungen 'Es isch nümme die Zyt, wo alben isch gsy' legte Johann Ramseier mit seinem Rückblick auf seine Militärausbildung bei der Schweizer Kavallerie im Krisenjahr 1933 noch einen drauf: "Hinder em Name Johann Ramseier steckt en aaggrauete Jurischt us Bärn, wo i syne ryfere Jahr no het afa bärndütschi Gschichte schrybe.
