Description:
Zero Tolerance 0100

The Zero Tolerance model 0100 is a military fixed blade designed by Ken Onion.
Due to the use of CPM3V tool steel it has a longer lasting sharpness, a higher strength and a much better resistance to impact than many of today's best stainless steels.
(See bottom of page for more info)
It's unique blade style is designed for multi-tasking, minimal mass, and maximum performance, while a secure grip is provided by 3-D machined G10 scales.
The model 0100 offers ideal leverage for tough cutting situations and a precisely centered point for piercing tasks.

Information about the type of steel used in this particular knife:

CPM 3V is a new tool steel made by the Crucible ParticleMetallurgy process, designed to provide maximum resistance to breakage and chipping in a highly wear-resistant steel.
CPM 3V offers impact toughness greater than A2, D2, Cru-Wear or CPM M4, approaching the levels of S7 and other shock resistant grades, while providing excellent wear resistance, high hardness and thermal stability for coatings.
Intended to be used at HRC 58-60 CPM 3V can replace high alloy tool steels in wear applications where chronic tool breakage and chipping problems are encountered.

The CPM process produces very homogeneous, high quality steel characterized by superior dimensional stability, grindability, and toughness compared to steels produced by conventional processes.
