Die Walther Modell 1 ist die erste von Carl Walther entwickelte und produzierte Selbstladepistole. Sie wurde ab 1908 gefertigt und ist damit ein frühes Modell der Walther-Pistolengeschichte. Die kompakte Pistole wurde für die Patrone 6,35 mm Browning entwickelt und als kleine Taschenpistole ausgelegt. Die Modell 1 arbeitet als unverriegelter Rückstosslader. Der Lauf ist fest mit dem Rahmen verbunden, während der Verschluss frei zurückläuft. Die kompakte Ganzstahlkonstruktion und das einreihige Magazin entsprechen der für diese frühe Pistolenklasse typischen Bauweise.
