Beschreibung Das KA-BAR Short USMC ist eine kleinere Version eines legendären feststehenden Messers: des KA-BAR 1217. Im Jahr 1942 wurde dieses Messer vom United States Marine Corps als Standard-Kampfmesser für die Marines eingesetzt. Seitdem gehört dieses Messer zur Standardausrüstung vieler Soldaten. Das Messer ist groß und fühlt sich sehr stark an. Der Griff ist mit einem Messerschutz versehen, der sicherstellt, dass man auch bei starker Beanspruchung nicht auf die rasiermesserscharfe Klinge gerät. Die Klinge ist aus 1095-Kohlenstoffstahl gefertigt. Dieser Stahl ist jedoch nicht korrosionsbeständig. Glücklicherweise ist die Klinge mit einer schwarzen Beschichtung versehen, um die Wartung zu erleichtern. Der Griff ist aus gestapelten Lederringen gefertigt.
