| The second pattern is a Luftwaffe Dagger with original sheath, and hanger. The blade has a maker's mark. The reverse is stamped with the Eickhorn Squirrel trademark, The original leather blade buffer is in place deep with the recesses of the crossguard. The crossbar has an Eagle without stretched wings holding a Swastika. The tangerine-orange color grip has a couple of hair line cracks at the end of the grip at the pommel. The pommel has a gold-colored Swastika. The textbook Eickhorn scabbard has a gray finish and crisp pebbled panels. The Eickhorn-style bands are convex and are decorated with the standard oak leaf pattern. The hanger and dagger are in very good condition. |
