| 45 Caliber; fair bore, good stock, 20.75'' barrel, Unknown maker, unmarked. Over under octagonal barrels, upper rifled, smoothbored lower. Backlock action with mule ear style hammers. Silver blade front sight, fancy leaf elevation adjustable rear sight. Walnut stock with silver plate mounts, patchbox on right side. Has an 1876 dated seated liberty quarter dollar coin roughly inlaid on the left side. Barrels seem short for one of these and have likely been shortened long ago. Action functions fine. Stock fit is loose. Barrels have heavy rust spotting overall. Antique. |
