| 43 SPANISH; good bore, fair stock, 36'' barrel, Stamped on top of the barrel chamber "MODELO ARGENTINO 1879 E.N." and on top of the upper tang with the Remington address and patent dates in three lines. Patina metal. Walnut stock. Original cleaning rod. Fixed front and rear ladder sights. The wood shows wear and handling with some slivers of missing wood on the upper edges of the forend. A couple small chips along the upper tang. The rear sight is missing the spring. The action functions fine. The bore is bright with strong rifling, showng spots of pitting throughout. |
