| 7.63 mm; poor bore, fair grips, 5.5'' barrel, Spanish made close copy of the Mauser C96 "Broomhandle" pistols. No matching parts. Stamped on the left side of the frame 'ASTRA AUTOMATIC PISTOL CAL 7.63/PATENTED JULY 12, 1928. Fixed front and tangent rear sights, the rear sight graduated to 1000 meters. Importer marked around the barrel from Oyster Bay, who imported these from China. Patina metal with some minor spotting and scattered minor pitting. The original ribbed wood grips show wear. Mechanically fine, the barrel appears to have been smoothbored. C&R/FFL, s/n 201xx |
