| 12 Gauge; very good bore, very good stock, 30'' barrel, C.G. Bonehill manufactured Belmont Interchangeable 12 bore double with browned finish Damascus barrels. 2 1/2" chambers, modern gauges read Full and Cylinder. Smooth concave rib with silver bead. Tops of both barrels marked "FINEST DAMASCUS". Double underlugs with extractor. Anson & Deeley boxlock casehardened action with fine English scroll and game bird scenes. Blued trigger guard and bottom plate, the bottom of the trigger guard engaved with hunting dog scene. Action retains mainly only trace color. Double triggers. Mounted in fancy grained checkered walnut, the stock with a round knob grip. LOP=14". Checkered butt with scroll engraved metal heel and toe plates. Deep set checkered side flats. Gold inlaid oval on the bottom of the butt unmarked. Stock has a very slight cast off. Stock has a 1 3/4" drop at the comb and 2 1/2" drop at the heel. Push button release forearm with scroll engraved mounts. Weight=just over 6 lbs. This shotgun shows some age with thinning finish on the barrels, worn on the sides above the forearm. Handling marks on the stock. The action functions well and the barrels lock up well. Serial numbers are matching. The bottom of the right barrel under the forearm has an importers mark., s/n 42xx |
