| Description: |
| 9mm Luger; 85% blue, good bore, good stock, 12.5'' barrel, Blowback operated carbine derived from a WW1 era submachine gun, and nicknamed by collectors as the "Scottie carbine", with original blue finish, mounted in a walnut or hardwood stock with short handguard. Blade front sight and tangent type rear sight graduated to 500 meters. The receiver is stamped along the top "PIETRO BERETTA - GARDONE VALLE TROMPIA - ITALIA - CAL. 9" and across the rear "MADE IN ITALY/BREVETTO 1918-1930/A/4815". 7 inch long underfolding bayonet. The butt has a compartment with a two sections of cleaning rod. Includes the very rare original detachable 25 round box magazine, which has a paper lable on the side marked "BERETTA CARABINA/9MM 25 TIROS". These carbines were removed from the NFA listing and are now listed as collectors items, classified as a C&R elligible. The metal finish shows only minor wear, with scattered handling marks and areas of dried grease. The stock has a small crack at the upper front corner of the sling bar recess on the left side. Mechanically fine. The bore has frost in the grooves. C&R/FFL, s/n 48xx |
