| Rare manufacture by The Braendlin Armoury Co. Commercial private purchase bayonet for the long Lee-Metford and Lee-Enfield rifles. Complete with an original scabbard. The bayonet is marked on the left ricasso with the makers name, and on the left with crossed flags over B Trade Mark. The left side of the pommel is marked "PAT/'88" over two opposing broad arrows. No government proofing or dates on the blade. Original walnut handles with two brass rivits. The catch works fine. The blade shows some signs of light sharpening on the edges. The scabbard is wrapped in black electrical tape and the tip mount is missing one staple. Over all in good condition., |
