THIS RIFLE IS PICTURED IN SPEEDS BOOK PAGE 216 AND SIMPSONS BOOK PAGE 425. THE BLUING IS ESPECIALLY DEEP AND LUSTRIOUS ON THE RECEIVER AND BARREL. THE WALNUT STOCK HAS A LATE WEIMAR NAVY CARTOUCHE ON THE LEFT BUTT. THE STOCK HAS A HAIRLINE CRACK ON THE RIGHT GRIP FROM THE TANG TO THE SLING LUG. ALSO HAS THE NAMEOF THE GI THAT BROUGHT IT BACK ON THE BOTTOM BUTT AND A NUMBER 8240 ON RIGHT SIDE AHEAD OF THE RECEIVER.
