THE RIFLE IS REFERENCED ON PAGE 490 IN MR SIMPSONS BOOK "TRAINING RIFLES OF THE THIRD REICH GERMANY". THE BLUING HAS TURNED MOSTLY PATINA WITH SOME REMAINING BLUE ON THE BANDS. THE BORE IS DIRTY WITH GOOD RIFLING. THE STOCK IS CRACKED AT THE LEFT TANG AND THE BUTT BEARS AN EARLY D.J. INSIGNIA STAMPED ON RIGHT SIDE OF BUTTSTOCK.
