| Consignor notes state that this hand carved wooden shoe was found at the Buchenwald concentration camp by a veteran from the U.S. 6th Armored Division. The veteran carved the bottom of the shoe "BUCHENWALD DEATH CAMP / NEVER AGAIN" and carved on one side "TAKE HOME". Made from a lightweight wood which is roughly finished and has a more recent stain finish evidenced by the dark carved letters. |
