| 9.3mm; 90% blue, good bore, very good stock, 30'' barrel, Schuetzen target rifle manufactured by the renowned German gun maker Carl Stiegele, whose rifles won many awards for quality and accuracy during the period. Many of his works being produced especially for hierarchy. This rifle has a blued finish fully octagon barrel with dovetailed robust front sight and a 10" dovetail over the lower portion. Platinum inlay on the top flat "C. Stiegele jun.in Munchen" with inlaid owl and birds and fine leaf and vine décor. Casehardened Martini style falling block action with relief game and floral leaf engraving. Tang mounted fully key adjustable rear aperture sight. Fancy lever with relief engraving. Double set adjustable trigger. Stocked in walnut with vine a fruit carving. Casehardened Schuetzen buttplate. Highly polished tray on top of breechbolt. The bore has strong cut rifling and shine, with some visible minor corrosion. The exact chambering is not known on this rifle, possibly chambered for 9.5x47R. Will need to be chamber cast for correct chambering. Antique., s/n 72xx |
