| 8x58mmRD; 94% blue, fair bore, fair stock, 31.625'' barrel, Remington 1867 rolling block rifle. Bore is in fair condition with moderate numbers of light pitting. Barrel has moderate wear to the finish, left side is stamped with "16811", the right side is stamped with "7931/96", top of the barrel is stamped with "C" crown proof as well as "J.B. GM". receiver has moderate wear and slight oxidation; the top of the tang is stamped with "Remington’s Ilion N.Y. U.S.A. Pat. May 3d Nov 15th, 1864, April 17th 1888". Stock is in fair condition with numerous scratches, impressions, and user wear. Metal butt plate has heavy corrosion/oxidation. The butt plate, hammer, and breach all are stamped with "16811". Forearm shows moderate user wear as well as some light scratches., s/n 168xx |
