| 7 X 57mm; 85% blue, very good bore, good stock, 22'' barrel, Issued to the Chilean National Police (Carabineros De Chile), manufactured in Germany by Mauser Oberndorf with only about 10,000 produced for the contract, original blue finish and walnut stock. All matching including the cleaning rod. The receiver bridge is stamped with a 7-line Mauser banner. German crown/B, U, G and N proofs. Mauser Oberndorf markings along the left side of the receiver wall. The top of the receiver ring is stamped with the Chilean police crest "CHILE ORDEN Y PATRIA" encircling crossed rifles. The left side of the stock butt is clearly stamped with the Chilean crest over a boxed date "1935". Attached is an original leather sling, side mounted for use on horseback. The barrel is stamped with the small import mark of Sarco above the bayonet lug. Sarco imported the majority of these carbines in the early 1980s. The metal finish shows some wear, mainly to the bands and exposed barrel. The stock has small dings and handling marks over all. Mechanically fine. C&R/FFL, s/n 54xx |
