| 44 Caliber; 70% blue, fair bore, good grips, 5 3/8'' barrel, Manufactured in England c.1840's. Double action bar hammer percussion revolver typical of the early percussion era, bright blued finish octagon barrel with small brass blade sight. 6-shot cylinder. Casehardened frame with fine checkered walnut grips. Engraved on top of the barrel "CLOUGH & SON BATH". Each cylinder has an engraved number, 1-6. English scroll engraving on the frame, hammer and bottom of the trigger guard. British black powder proofing of the era. Generous finish remains on the barrel, 60-70%. Fading case color is visible on the frame. Scattered fairly line spotting mainly on the barrel and cylinder. The action functions well, nipples are good however have been hit a few times from dry fire. Bore, chambers and front face of the cylinder have some pitting. Antique. |
