| 31 Caliber; fair bore, good grips, 5'' barrel, Manufactured in 1862. Metal finish has turned mottled silvery/brown patina overall, trace case color on the frame. Brass trigger guard and backstrap with remnant darkened silver plate finish in protected corners. Plain walnut grip, heavily worn varnish finish. Matching serial numbers except the wedge which is un-marked. Front sight replaced with a dovetailed brass blade. Octagon barrel stamped on top with Colt's New York address in a single line. Left frame stamped "COLT'S/PATENT". 6 chamber cylnder retains 85% of the roll engraved stagecoach scene. The action functions well. The bore has strong rifling with pitting throughout.
