| 31 Caliber; fair bore, good grips, 3'' barrel, Manufactured in 1856. Originally blued with case hardened frame, the metal is now mostly bright with dark spotting with scattered minor/light pittig. Nickel plated brass trigger guard and backstrap with mainly only trace nickel finish remaining. Plain walnut grip. Matching serial numbers to include the wedge. Marked on top of the barrel "ADDRESS SAML COLT/NEW YORK CITY". "COLT'S/PATENT" marked on the left side of the frame. The cylinder retains approximately 90% of the engraved stagecoach scene. Action is crisp and functions well. Screw slots are all good. Antique., s/n 1169xx |
