| 44 CAL; fair bore, good grips, 8'' barrel, Manufactured in 1863. U.S. Military issue. Metal finishes aged to gray/patina overall. Brass trigger guard, blued steel backstrap. Stepped cylinder with 80% Naval battle scene. All matching serial numbers including the wedge. Stamped on top of the barrel is a single line "-ADDRESS SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA-". "COLT'S/PATENT" stamped on the left side of the frame. Inspector letters D and H located on the barrel and trigger guard. Walnut grip with faint inspector cartouches on each side. Screws turned but slots are good. The action functions well. Antique., s/n 1312xx |
