| 38 Colt; 40% blue, good bore, good grips, 4.5'' barrel, Manufactured in 1899. Original blue finish barrel, cylinder and grip frame straps. Casehardened frame. Original checkered hard rubber grips. Matching serial numbers. Marked on top of the barrel with the Colt's Hartford address in two lines. The left side of the frame is marked with patent dates 1871, 1874 and 1875 in three lines, and with the circled Rampant Colt logo. The metal finish is thin, with scattered light spotting over all, the case colors have faded from the frame. The grips are over all good, with much of the checkering worn smooth and a small chip on the leading edge of the right panel. Mechanically fine, original and complete. C&R/FFL, s/n 1138xx |
