| 38 Caliber; fair bore, fair grips, 4 1/2'' barrel, COLT MODEL 1877 LIGHTNING MADE IN 1901 IN ANTIQUE VERY GOOD CONDITION. THE NUMBERS ON THE FRAME AND TRIGGER GUARD ARE MATCHING BUT THE BACK STRAP NUMBER IS MISMATCHED.THE BLUING AND CASE COLORS ARE GONE AND THE METAL HAS TURNRD PATINA. THE METAL SHOWS AREAS OF LIGHT OXIDATION AND PITTING HEAVIEST ON THE BARREL. THE BORE IS SEMI BRIGHT WITH VISIBLE BUT WELL WORN RIFLING ALONG WITH LIGHT OXIDATION PRESENT. THE HARD RUBBER GRIPS ARE HEAVILY WORN. THE DA/SA ACTION FUNCTIONS PROPERLY WITH A TIGHT CYLINDER LOCK UP., s/n 1245xx |
