| 38 AUTO; 75% blue, good bore, good grips, 6'' barrel, Made in 1902. US Martiallly marked. US-trigger guard-left. RAC inspected-frame above trigger-right. Original bright blued finish is dulling and thinning overall but mainly on grip strap area. Front checkered slide. Stub hammer. Nickle finish magazine with 1884 patent date. This pistol does not seem to check out with the information available in the books. The RAC civilian inspector mark in stamped on the side of the frame instead of the web of the trigger guard, and the Government Inspector mark noted in the books JTT (John T Thompson) is not stamped on the gun. The matching serial number and RAC marking are stamped under the slide on the bottom of the firing pin housing. All the markings appear to be original, however do not match any of the information available? And therefore are questionable., s/n 150xx |
