| 45 ACP; 70% blue, good bore, good grips, 5'' barrel, Manufactured in 1918. Original blued finish and checkered walnut double diamond grips. Parts correct. Stamped on the right side of the slide "MODEL OF 1911 U.S. ARMY" and on the left side with the standard two line patent dates and two line Colt's address flanking the Rampant Colt logo. The left side of the frame extension is stamped "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" and an eagleshead S/17 proof inspector mark is stamped above the magazine catch. The barrel is stamped on top of the chamber with a sideways HP. Two tone finish magazine without lanyard loop, hand inscribed on one side "George S Darrin Renovo Pa. 1/2/31". Included is an original M1916 leather holster which has been oiled, markings are hard to make out but appear to be S&R/TMB with no legible date. In overall Good condition with braided leather leg thong attached. The metal finish on the pistol is worn with some spotting, heaviest on the left side of the slide. Mechanically fine, the bore has shine showing some wear to the rifling and corrosion along the grooves., s/n 4261xx |
