| 45 ACP; 98% blue, good bore, excellent grips, 5'' barrel, Manufactured in 1918. Original brush blued finish and checkered walnut double diamond grips. Two-tone finish magazine in excellent condition has a double stamped L on top of the base lip. Stamped on the left side of the slide with the two-block two-line patent dates and Colt's address. The Rampant Colt appears on the left rear sight behind the serrations. The left side of the frame is stamped "UNITED STATES PROPERTY", and the inspector mark of Gilbet H. Stewart is located above the magazine catch. The right side of the slide is stamped "MODEL OF 1911. U.S. ARMY" with the serial number located on the right side of the frame. The top of the barrel chamber is stamped P and H. This pistol is parts correct. The metal finish shows scattered sharp edge wear with some thinning on the front grip strap and a few widely scattered minor handling scratches. The rear sight has been hit on the right top side of the blade leaving a tiny ding. There is also some minor dark spotting on the right side of the slide below the ejection port area and a spot of loss on top of the slide at the left edge of the ejection port.
