| 45 COLT; good bore, good grips, 4 3/4'' barrel, Manufactured in 1901. With Colt factory letter stating shipment of the revolver on April 17, 1901 to Simmons Hardware Co., St. Lewis, Missouri. Originally blued finish, only traces of finish remain in protected areas, remainder grey with light spotting. Trace case color on the frame, with light spotting. Checkered hard rubber grips show some smoothing of the checkering and small nicks around the bottom edges. Matching serial numbers. Couple issues, the ejector rod head is bent backwards a bit and the trigger guard screw is missing the tip, hole visible on the right frame. The action functions fine. Bore has strong rifling, moderate pitting throughout., s/n 2085xx |
