THE REVOLVER BEARS THE INSCRIPTION "66.MD" ON THE LOWER LEFT FRAME INDICATING THAT IT WENT TO THE VOLUNTEER MOUNTED SCOUTS AND THE CANADIAN MILITIA DURING THE RIEL UPRISING. AS PER PAGE 12 IN THE BOOK "CANADIAN MILITARY HANDGUNS" BY CLIVE M. LAW. THE NICKLE FONISH RATES ABOUT 50% WITH MOST OF IT GONE ON THE BARREL AND CYLINDER. THE RUBBER GRIPS HAVE 2 NOTCHES CUT INTO THE RIGHT PANEL AND HAS A 1' SLIVER MISSING FROM THE SAME PANEL. THE ACTION IS SMOOTH WITH A TIGHT LOCK UP AND GOOD TIMING., s/n 145xx |
