| 44-40 WCF; fair bore, fair grips, 4 3/4'' barrel, Manufactured in 1897. Double action. Nickel finish at about 30%, gray in areas of loss. Original checkered hard rubber grips heavily worn but not damaged. Round barrel with fixed sight. Stamped on top of the barrel with the Colt's address in a single line. Stamped on the left side of the barrel "COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER". Left side of the frame is stamped with the circled Rampant Colt near the grip. The right side of the frame is engraved with a previous owners name "Dr. M." near the grip. The action functions well. Bore is frosted with light pitting throughout. Antique., s/n 371xx |
