| 45 ACP; 95% blue, excellent bore, excellent grips, 5'' barrel, Manufactured in 1939. Refinished metal over some tiny areas of minor pitting. Checkered plastic commercial grips. Assembled using a mix of parts, commercial barrel marked only with a number along the lug "781" which does not match the pistol. The frame is marked on the right side "GOVERNMENT MODEL" over the seial number. Under which are German commercial proofs with an IE date code (1984). The left side of the frame extension is stamped "Cat.No.4030". The slide is numbered but not matching, seril numbered under the firing pin retainer 206993. The right side of the slide appears to have been scrubbed, with a small German commercial proof in front of the serrations. The left side of the slide is roll marked with the two line Colt's address over patent dates 1897, 1902, 1905, 1911 and 1913. Under the two line roll mark is the caliber designation "CAL. 45 (small five added) AUTOMATIC". And the Rampant Colt logo is located in front of the serrations? Rough checkered slide catch, stippled safety, Colt checkered wide hammer. Arched mainspring housing with 7 ribs. Later Colt magazine. Finish is thin on the right side of the slide. A few small handling marks on the front grip strap. Some light surface rust spotting of the left upper rear corner of the slide. Mechanically fine. Our import mark., s/n C1906xx |
