| 45 ACP; very good+ bore, very good grips, 5'' barrel, Manufactured in 1944. Original parkerized finish and checkered plastic grips with large screw rings. This pistol is parts correct. Blued finish barrel, P stamped on the left lug with "COLT 45 AUTO" above the left lug. The left side of the slide is stamped with the two line patent dates and two line Colt's address flanking the Rampant Colt logo. "P" mark on top of the slide between the sight and ejection port. The frame is stamped on the right side "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" over the serial number and "M1911A1 U.S.ARMY" forward of the slide catch pin hole. Ordnance wheel escutcheon stamped on the left frame behind the grip panel. The left side of the frame is stamped with the inspector mark "G.H.D." vertically along the grip panel and with the P proof below the magazine catch. Blued finish magazine is a replacement. Checkered trigger face, checkered narrow spur hammer, checkered slide catch, grooved arched mainspring housing. Condition: Overall Very Good plus, the metal finish showing some sharp edge wear with scattered light handling scratches and a tiny nick on top of the slide. There is a light scratch on the left frame from slide catch assembly. The grips have sharp checkering showing only minor handling., s/n 17033xx |
