| 31 Cal; good bore, good grips, 4'' barrel, Manufactured in 1859. 5-shot cylinder. Original metal finish has worn to gray. Silver plated brass trigger guard and backstrap. Original walnut grip with varnish finish. Matching serial numbers. Stamped on top of the barrel in two lines "ADDRESS SAML COLT/NEWYORK CITY". The left side of the frame is stamped "COLTS/PATENT". The cylinder stagecoach scene remains at approximately 90%. Clean metal with clear markings. This revolver has some border engraving on the bottom of the trigger guard, with some scroll and leaf engraving on the left side of the trigger guard and side of the backstrap. However, the right side has no engraving. A job started but never finished? Mechanically fine. Antique., s/n 1527xx |
