| 38 Colt; good bore, good grips, 4.5'' barrel, Manufactured in 1901. Original blue finish, casehardened frame and checkered hard rubber grips. Matching numbers. Stamped on top of the barrel with the Colt's address in two lines. The left side of the frame is stamped with patent dates 1871, 1874 and 1875 in three lines and a circled Rampant Colt logo. The barrel finish has worn mostly gray, the grip frame, trigger guard and cylinder retain some blue finish in the more protected areas. The frame has fading traces of case color. The front sight blade has been filed down some. Mechanically fine with a smooth action and good cylinder indexing. C&R/FFL, s/n 1250xx |
