| 41 COLT; 55% blue, very good+ bore, very good+ grips, 2.5'' barrel, Manufactured in 1891. This 1877 Thunder double action revolver is chambered in .41 Long Colt It has a scarce 2 ½ barrel, blue finish and niter blued small parts. Top of the chamber has the standard short two-line Hartford address and the left side is stamped Colt D.A. 41 The left side of the frame is marked with the three-line / three patent dates. The barrel has a blue finish, the frame is case hardened, the trigger and hammer are niter blued. The sides of the hammer are polished. There are matching serial numbers on the frame, trigger guard, back strap and cylinder. About 50% of the clean unpitted original blue finish remains. Traces of the original case colors remain on the frame and loading gate in protected areas. Very good plus bore, excellent screws, very good grips. Mechanically excellent. Factory letter verifies the description and lists the shipping date as December 15, 1891 to E.C. Meacham Arms Company of St. Louis Missouri #82816 ANTIQUE, s/n 828xx |
